Supplier:

Clyde Insulation Supplies, Stirling.

The Project:

The building has had considerable work done, both to provide guest accommodation and to restore and in some case reinstate period features.

The business is being run with environmental values at its heart – Northumbrian House has applied for registration with the Green Tourism Business Scheme as an aid to promotion and a good resource for ideas and help.

The owner, Ian Kille felt that Thermafleece was the natural choice for both the business and the house. To combine excellent thermal properties thus creating energy savings, a greatly reduced carbon footprint to produce compared to synthetic products, along with its ability to breathe which completely suits an older period building.

Ian Kille commented; "Apart from it being the right material to use, the additional cost of this compared to conventional products, I believe will be repaid via the marketing value of my green credentials, supported by the Green Tourism Business Scheme."
