Envirolink Backs Thermafleece PB20
Thermafleece PB20
Envirolink Northwest are so impressed with Second Nature UK's Thermafleece PB20 that they’ve provided funding to Alston homeowners for them to see the benefits of using natural and recycled insulation for themselves.
Alston is the highest market town in England, 1000 feet above sea level and 20 miles from the nearest town. “Of the many areas in Cumbria prone to feel the cold during the coming winter Alston is arguably the greatest and we don’t need to give Thermafleece PB20 an easy ride” said Suzanne Burgess, of Suzanne Burgess Associates, responsible for the project. “Insulating your loft can save up to £150 per year off your fuel bills - why not use a natural, local, product to do it?”
Envirolink Northwest isn’t the only one impressed with this fantastic product. Winners of the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in 2004, the Ashden Award for Sustainability in 2005 and securing ISO 14001 in December 2008 you can’t get a much more environmentally sensitive product to keep your CO₂ emissions and fuel bills down. With the added bonus of Second Nature having their base in Cumbria it’s a company and product that we can all be proud of.
Funding from Envirolink has meant that this product can for a short time be provided at the same price as the mineral wool, more commonly used when insulating lofts in the UK. “Not only is Thermafleece PB20 made of natural & recyclable materials but much less energy is involved in the actual production of the product (the embodied energy) making it more energy efficient than the materials more commonly used” said Christine Armstrong, Managing Director of Second Nature.
Alston residents can access Thermafleece PB20 installed loft insulation for between £99 - £199 dependent on how much loft insulation is already installed. To apply, ring our partners Book My Survey Ltd on 0800 093 5239 quoting Alston PB20. Funding is limited to approximately 15 households.
Ends.
