About the Energy Saving Recommended scheme
Run by the Energy Saving Trust, Energy Saving Recommended (ESR) is an endorsement scheme that identifies the most energy efficient products on the market. Launched in 2000, our objective is to endorse the top 20 per cent of energy efficient products so they become easily identifiable to consumers. To gain certification a product or service must meet with a strict set of criteria, independently set and updated annually. There are now over 2,600 ESR products from 132 manufacturers available from 72 retailers. These include multiple, independent and online retailers.
